# Drawing interfaces

> Series, points, annotations, groups and axes.

What an indicator draws on, in `VolumetricaCore.dll`, namespace `VolumetricaAPI.Chart`. Members marked **desktop** are `[DesktopOnly]`.

## IChartSeries

A series as the indicator sees it: its points. Style and colors are settings of the user, see [Series](/concepts/series).

| `Name` | name of the series |
| `Points` | the points, one per bar |
| `NumOfYPerPoints` | values of each point: 1, 2 for a range, 4 for candles |
| `seriesType` | current style |
| `IncludeInResize`, `UseAxesWithSpace`, `IniPlotIndex` | **desktop** |

## IChartPoint

| Member | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `Y` | values of the point |
| `IsHidden` | not drawn |
| `BreakPoint` | interrupts the line |
| `LineColor`, `BackColor` | colors of this point |
| `Text`, `FontSize`, `ShowLabel`, `LabelSpan` | label of the point |
| `alignMarker` | where a marker is placed relative to the value |
| `PointWidth`, `ShowOnlyBorder` | look of a bar |
| `YMagnet` | with a marker aligned above or below (`alignMarker`): the marker is attached to the value |
| `X` | time of the bar of the point |

## IAnnotation

**Position**

| `AnnotationType` | the shape |
| `X`, `Y`, `X2`, `Y2`, `X3`, `Y3` | coordinates. With absolute coordinates the bar `i` is at `X = i + 1` |
| `CoordinateXType`, `CoordinateYType` | `Absolute`, `Relative`, `Pixel`, `Session` |
| `Width`, `Height` | size, for the shapes which have one |
| `XOffset` | shift on X |
| `Area` | chart area: `ChartAreaRef.Main` or the `ChartArea` of the indicator |
| `Visible` | drawn or not |
| `PlotForeground` | drawn over the bars |
| `IsExtended` | a line continues to the edge of the chart |
| `MaxBarsViewed` | not drawn when more than this number of bars are visible |

| `BackColor`, `BackGradient` | fill |
| `LineColor2`, `LineWidth2`, `LineDashStyle2`, `BackColor2`, `BackGradient2` | second line and fill, for the shapes which have two |
| `Margin`, `PixelMargin`, `MinPxForMargin` | space outside the shape, in pixels |
| `Padding`, `PixelPadding` | space inside the shape, in pixels |

| `TextAlign`, `LabelAlign` | alignment |
| `Tooltip` | text shown when the mouse is over the annotation |
| `ShowLabel`, `ShowLblBackground`, `ShowPrice` | label and price of a level |
| `TextOnAxis`, `TextOnlyInside`, `needToShowAllText`, `CheckStringWidthInside` | where the text may be drawn |
| `TextWidth`, `TextHeight` | measured size of the text. **desktop** |

**Levels and children**

| Member | Meaning |

| `AddAnnParam(coeff, color, lineWidth, style)`, `ClearAnnParam()` | levels of a retracement or projection |
| `Ann1ToPlot`, `Ann2ToPlot`, `AnnParamToPlot`, `ShowPercent`, `ShowDifference` | what a multi part annotation shows |
| `AddToList(annotation)`, `InsertToList(index, annotation)`, `ClearList()` | child annotations, for a text of several lines |

## IAnnGroup

| Member | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `AnnItems`, `AnnGroupList` | the annotations, or the groups, it holds |
| `AddGroup(group)` | adds a group inside this one |
| `RemoveAnnotation(annotation)` | removes an annotation |
| `Clear()` | removes everything |
| `Visible` | drawn or not |
| `Area` | chart area the group is bound to |
| `PlotForeground` | drawn over the bars |
| `MaxBarsViewed`, `MaxCountShown` | limits for drawing |
| `AnnPerBar`, `shiftIndex`, `OutBars` | for groups with a fixed number of annotations per bar: lets the chart find the visible ones without scanning the group |

## IAxis

Only what an indicator sets is applied. See [Axes and placement](/concepts/axes-and-placement).

| `YAdjust`, `YAuto` | the axis follows the visible values |
| `DecimalPlaceShown`, `FormatAutoNumber`, `CustomFormat` | format of the labels |
| `MinimumLimitMode`, `MinimumLimitValue`, `MaximumLimitMode`, `MaximumLimitValue` | limits |
| `ViewMinimum`, `ViewMaximum` | range shown |
| `TopMarginPerc`, `BottomMarginPerc`, `SetAxisMargin(...)` | margins |
| `ShowGrid`, `GridStyle`, `GridColor`, `ShowText`, `TextColor` | look |
| `UseFixedDelta`, `FixedDeltaValue` | fixed step between the labels |
| `UseNegativeValue`, `UseOnlyIntValues` | kind of values |
| `Description` | text of the axis |
| `ShowVisbility(visible)` | shows or hides the axis |
| `Minimum`, `Maximum` | range calculated by the chart. **desktop** |
